    Presenters include workers who will share their successful models of worker-led education and awareness efforts to prevent and address gender-based violence and harassment (GBVH) in the world of work, describing how their interactive peer-led programs are effective in achieving culture change, consistent with International Labour Organization Convention 190 (the ILO's latest international labor standard addressing the elimination of violence and harassment in the world of work including GBVH).

    Through this programme, the ILO aims to establish a comprehensive, inclusive and efficient multi-stakeholder response to reducing child labor in Myanmar.

ILO IN THE ARAB STATES

  1. Jordan

    Formalizing Access to the Legal Labour Market for Refugees and Host Communities in Jordan - Phase III

    This project seeks to enhance the access of Jordanians and Syrian refugees to the formal labour market in Jordan through (i) strengthening their employment readiness, (ii) equipping them with market-responsive skills and competencies, (iii) facilitating the recognition of prior skills and knowledge, (iv) supporting the issuance of work permits and enrolment in social protection, in addition to (v) capacitating women and youth in the areas of entrepreneurship and innovation, to build solid and resilient foundations for decent work and livelihoods.

    From Protocol to Practice: A Bridge to Global Action on Forced Labor (The Bridge Project - Uzbekistan)

    The project seeks to effectively eliminate traditional and state-imposed forced labor systems and to significantly reduce contemporary forms of forced labor, which are often linked to human trafficking.

  1. Tunisia

    Project of support to the implementation of the National Action Plan against child labour in Tunisia (NAP-TN)

    The project is working to strengthen Tunisia’s ability to implement their Child Labor National Action Plan, a multi-stakeholder effort involving government, business, and civil society. The project will turn policy and promises into action by facilitating a comprehensive approach to safeguarding every child’s right to attend school and avoid exploitative labor.

ILO IN LATIN AMERICA AND THE CARIBBEAN

  1. Honduras

    Addressing Child Labor and Forced Labor in Coffee Supply Chain

    This project helps businesses establish systems to prevent, detect and eliminate child labor and other forms of labor exploitation from their supply chains. It is assembling a powerful coalition of coffee buyers to collectively incentivize compliance among suppliers. In doing so, the project promotes supply chains that are free of exploitative labor and helps to create a fair playing field for workers in the U.S. and around the world.

    From Research to Action: Using Knowledge to Accelerate Progress in the Elimination of Child Labor and Forced Labor

    This project addresses critical factors that prevent effective policies and strategies being widely applied. Firstly, it addresses the challenge of access. Drawing on the global networks and capacities of the ILO and the UNU and their long experience in the field, the project will collect, assess and validate relevant research, tools and data. Secondly, the project will identify knowledge gaps and develop both a global research agenda and country-level plans to address the gaps and (in the case of country level plans) actively apply knowledge and tools to eliminate child labor and forced labor.
