Promoting Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work and Social Dialogue in Egypt

The Project “Promoting Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work and Social Dialogue” aims to promote an appropriate legal framework and a culture of consultation and dialogue for the effective recognition of the rights of freedom of association and collective bargaining in Egypt. The Project supports tripartite constituents to bring national legislation in conformity with the ILO’s core Conventions on freedom of association and collective bargaining. It provides support to the Ministry of Manpower and Immigration to build sound industrial relations and effective mechanisms for the prevention and resolution of labour conflicts. The Project also supports employers’ and workers’ organizations to upgrade their services, engage in constructive dialogue and negotiations and increase the national understanding of fundamental labour rights.
