Career guidance policy and practice in the pandemic. Results of a joint international survey June to August 2020

This joint report by the ILO, Cedefop, UNESCO, OECD, the European Commission, ETF and ICCDPP, reflects the results of a flash international survey on how career guidance services responded to the challenges posed by Covid-19. It highlights the range of solutions found, especially digital, and the challenges felt by services, practitioners and clients. Conclusions point to critical areas for improvement of access and quality of service provision during lockdown periods and the enhancement of the role of career guidance during economic recovery. Insights on long-term system reform linked to service outreach, high intensity youth support, reskilling support and the role of international donors are also debated.
