    On International Day of Living Together in Peace, ILO’s Skills and Employability Branch together with the Coordination Unit for Peace and Resilience (CSPR) and under the Partnership for improving prospects for host communities and forcibly displaced persons (PROSPECTS), is organizing a webinar to launch a new guide on Promoting Social Cohesion and Peaceful Coexistence in Fragile Contexts through TVET.

  1. Social protection lecture series #1: Countering Unemployment in the United Kingdom

    To help Indonesian policymakers learn from the UK’s experiences, the ILO with the support of Fast Retailing Co., Ltd., will facilitate a lecture delivered by a former member of the Department of Employment and the Manpower Services Commission (MSC), UK.

  2. ILO Jakarta Social Protection Lecture series

    The Social Protection Lectures provide experts who work on social protection issues and related policy areas in Indonesia with a unique opportunity to hear from national or international scholars and practitioners.

  3. Series of Knowledge Sharing Activities on Skills Demands and Job Opportunities in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in Indonesia

    Industry 4.0 poses the threat of job losses in labour-intensive industries and opportunities for growth in emerging industries. Many new skills are needed for future of work, such as those in the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) sector.

  4. Soft Skills E-training for Youth and Job Seekers

    For the digital skills and distance learning development, ILO projects are developing two e-training courses on ICT skills, namely motion graphic and computer/IT network for the Ministry of Manpower (MoM).

  5. Media Briefing: Examining Social Insurance, particularly the Unemployment Insurance, for the Protection of Workers in the New Normal Era

    Indonesia’s social protection system is still evolving. Since its amendment in 2002, the Indonesian Constitution recognizes the right of all people to social security, and the responsibility of the State in the development of social security.

  6. Training of BLK/BBPLK Instructors on e-Training Development and Delivery

    To strengthen further the Ministry’s efforts in shifting traditional to blended training courses, the project will support the Ministry’s in delivering training for selected BLKs/BBPLKs instructors on e-training development and delivery.

  2. Meet the winners of the 1st Cambodia Skills Challenge Innovation Call

    The Ceremony will be presided over by the Minister of Labour and Vocational Training and the Resident Coordinator of the UN in Cambodia, along with the participation of the Director of the ILO Country Office for Thailand, Cambodia and Lao PDR.

  1. Virtual technical discussion on the mutual recognition of skills on Building Electrical Wiring: A collaboration between Thailand and Cambodia

    ILO, through the ILO/Korea Partnership Programme, and in collaboration with Cambodia's Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training and Thailand's Ministry of Labour, organized an online technical discussion on the mutual recognition of skills for Building Electrial Wiring Level 1. This effort attends to moving towrds the mutual recognition of skills in ASEAN.

  1. Support for the Development of a Curriculum for Domestic Workers in Zimbabwe

    The International Labour Organization (ILO), together with national stakeholders, is organizing a three-day workshop on domestic workers curriculum development as part of the Skills Innovation Lab’s activities to support the Domestic Workers Association of Zimbabwe (DWAZ), winner of the 1st Skills Challenge Innovation Call.

  4. ILO hosts bootcamp to support the Domestic Worker Center, winner of the 1st Skills Challenge Innovation Call

    A five-day online bootcamp was organized from 16 to 20 November 2020 in collaboration with ILOITC.

  5. The ILO Skills Innovation Facility has initiated the design of a global Skills Innovation Network

    A series of discussions are being held with a selected group of skills innovators to co-design the Network’s objectives and activities.
