    The Global Commodities Forum is part of the UNCTAD Technical Cooperation programme, Breaking the Chains of Commodity Dependence. The event will include the participation of the ILO Director of the Employment Policy Department and representatives of the Skills and Employability Branch.

    Organized by the ILO with support from partner organizations such as the European Alliance for Apprenticeships, the European Commission, the OECD, UNESCO and the Global Apprenticeship Network (GAN).     This publication, co-published by the World Trade Organization (WTO) and the International Labour Office (ILO), is to be launched at the WTO on 4 July. Building on previous collaboration between the WTO and the ILO, this publication focuses on the linkages between trade and skills and between trade and skills development policies.

  1. Inter-regional Technical Forum on Skills for Trade, Employability and Inclusive Growth

    Sharing knowledge and lessons learned from implementing the ILO Skills for Trade and Economic Diversification (STED) programme and applying the G20 Training Strategy. The Forum will be hosted by the International Labour Organization in partnership with the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA) and the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA).

    The annual United Nations Climate Change Conference will be held in Bab Ighli, Marrakech, Morocco from 7-18 November 2016. This twenty-second session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP22) follows the adoption in 2015 of the Paris Agreement on climate change at COP21.
