Textile, leather and related pattern-makers and cutters make
patterns and mark and cut textile, leather and other materials
in the manufacture of garments, gloves and miscellaneous
products.
Tasks include -
(a) drawing and cutting out patterns for making suits, dresses,
shirts, blouses, gloves, hats and caps and other garments;
(b) making outlines of patterns on cloth, light leathers or
other materials to guide cutting;
(c) cutting material according to pattern outline for making up
garments, gloves and related items;
(d) performing pattern-making, marking and cutting tasks in the
manufacture of other products such as soft furnishings,
canvas goods and umbrellas;
(e) performing related tasks;
(f) supervising other workers.
