Fibre preparers prepare wool, cotton,flax, jute, hemp and
other natural textile fibres for spinning and winding.
Tasks include -
(a) grading and classifying natural textile fibres;
(b) washing wool fibres;
(c) cleaning and fluffing textile fibres;
(d) forming fibres into sliver, combing them, combining sliver
into sliver laps or forming sliver into rove;
(e) performing related tasks;
(f) supervising other workers.
