Chemists conduct research, improve or develop concepts,

materials, and industrial products and processes.

(d) developing or improving pharmaceutical and other industrial
materials, products and processes;
(e) developing quality control procedures for manufacturers or
users;
(f) preparing scientific papers and reports;
(g) performing related tasks;
(h) supervising other workers.
