This unit group covers department managers not classified
elsewhere in Minor group 122, Production and operations
department managers.
For instance here should be classified those who plan,
direct and coordinate activities of the enterprise or
organisation concerning government administrative and other
operations, public or private education services, health and
social work services, recreational, cultural, and sporting events
and services, and operations of extra-territorial organisations
and bodies.
In such cases tasks would include -
(a) planning, directing and coordinating government operations
concerning public service activities, such as control of
the money supply or taxation schemes, various government
business regulations, as well as civil service
administration and related activities;
(b) planning, directing and coordinating activities concerning
the administration and operation of foreign affairs and
public order and safety activities;
(c) planning, directing and coordinating activities concerning
the administration and operation of government-funded
social security schemes;
(d) planning, directing and coordinating activities concerning
public or private education;
(e) planning, directing and coordinating activities concerning
health and social services;
(f) planning, directing and coordinating activities concerning
recreational, cultural and sporting operations and events;
(g) planning, directing and coordinating activities concerning
the operations of extra-territorial organisations and
bodies;
(h) performing related tasks;
(i) supervising other workers.
