Basic risk assessment

This course gives participants the knowledge and skills to effectively use the basic risk assessment technique for the improvement of the Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) conditions in enterprises. Deadline for applications: 15 December 2010

This course provides participants with the knowledge and skills to effectively implement the basic risk assessment technique for the improvement of the OSH conditions within enterprises. Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Describe the ILO principles and fundamentals of OSH;
- Conduct a risk assessment in a workplace and make decisions on the control measures to be adopted;
- Describe the most relevant hazards concerning working at heights, machinery and chemical safety and the most frequent preventive and protective measures adopted;
- Explain the methodology and steps to carry out a basic risk assessment in an enterprise.
