Responsible authorities
The Ministry of Manpower places considerable emphasis on inculcating a culture of safety and health in all workplaces, and reinforcing the message that poor safety management could lead to costly losses. All employees and stakeholders are encouraged to take responsibility for workplace safety and health, and proactively plan to minimise risks. Also, those who create workplace safety and health risks will be held accountable.

The mission of the WSH Council is to lead industry efforts in strengthening capabilities and building a progressive culture in OSH.

The WSH Institute conducts quality applied research and provides evidence-based information to the Ministry of Manpower, WSH Council and key stakeholders, contributing to the formulation and review of national WSH policies and strategies, adoption of better WSH practices for businesses and raising capabilities of WSH professionals, business leaders and organisations. WSH Institute also anticipates new and emerging trends and risks, and provides an assessment of WSH outlook in Singapore through intelligence sensing and data analysis.
