  1. Syrian garment worker in Jordan continues to support her family during pandemic

    17 December 2020

    A year ago, Batoul, Syrian refugee in Jordan found work at a garment factory through an ILO-supported employment centre. The factory was forced to close temporarily during the pandemic. Even so, Batoul continued to receive a salary which she uses to provide for her young daughter, who has a spinal condition.

  2. Video: Impact of COVID-19 on youth in Lebanon

    In 2019, the ILO supported a group of Syrian refugee and Lebanese youth to establish income generating activities to promote entrepreneurship and self-reliance among vulnerable groups. COVID-19 has created economic challenges to these youth, many of whom are now trying to find ways to adapt to the new ways of work.
