Marwan Selim Co-founder of VWaste

Marwan Selim – a mechanical engineer & a project manager – is one of 4 Egyptian engineers who decided to take action against the large amount of unhandled Agro-Industrial Waste in Cairo by founding V-Waste in 2018. Making their sustainable vision financially attractive started by exploring the orange essential oil industry, which is the first of multiple consumer products that can be produced out of the 200,000 tonnes of annual orange peel in Egypt. Since the founding of VWaste, Marwan & his Partners have been recognized for their innovative approach to promote sustainability by winning the 3rd place in at Nawah 2017 youth social Entrepreneurship Award, 1st place in the EU’s 2017 SwitchMed Egypt competition & 2nd Place in the Start Egypt program sponsored by Flat6Labs & the British Embassy in Cairo.


Camille Jaillant Ecopreneur & Founder of Olistic The Label

Camille Jaillant is the Founder and Designer of Olistic The Label, a sustainable fashion clothing company based in France which seeks to empower women while producing bohemian chic evening dresses. Camille has worked in the luxury and fashion industry for numerous years with giant fashion houses, including Louis Vuitton in Paris. Travelling to more than 25 countries to develop collections with organic fibres in France, India, Morocco and Portugal, her experiences in the industry motivated her to start Olistic in 2018. With the aim to promote slow fashion, sustainability and defend fair work worldwide, Camille was quickly recognized for her efforts by the Social Impact Awards in Switzerland where she was a finalist.


Simbarashe Eric Mhuriro Founder and Managing Director of Oxygen Africa

Simbarashe Mhuriro is the Founder and Managing Director of Oxygen Africa, a Zimbabwean renewable energy development company specialised in commercial and industrial rooftop solar photovoltaic projects. Acknowledged for his work with Oxygen, some of Simbarashe accolades include being named by Forbes Magazine as one of Africa’s 30 most promising young entrepreneurs in 2018, and one of Africa’s 30 most promising and inspirational young entrepreneurs in Africa in 2016. Having founded Oxygen Africa in 2008, Simbarashe has since gained support for the company from numerous Zimbabwean ministries, including the Ministry of Energy and the Ministry of Environment, and was recognized by the United Nations Climate Change Secretariat’s Momentum for Change Initiative for Oxygen’s effort to promote a high resilient, low-carbon future.
