Receiving Vocational Qualification Certificates Through Opportunities for Life Project

Turkish and Syrian trainees received vocational qualification certificates upon successful completion of the vocational training courses organised under the “Opportunities for Lives Project” jointly implemented by the International Labour Organization (ILO) and Directorate-General for International Labour Force (DG-ILF) of the Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Services.

Responding to the unprecedented crisis and pressing needs created by COVID-19 outbreak in Myanmar particularly in disaster and conflict-affected areas, the New Zealand Aid Programme and International Labour Organisation (ILO) technical team in Myanmar are launching a new project to provide livelihoods support to returned migrants and remittance dependent communities in South-Eastern Myanmar; one of the most vulnerable places along the border.

ILO and UNAIDS provide PPE and welfare items to PLW HIVAIDS to mitigate the impacts of COVID-19

In response to the call by the UNAIDS Executive Director, to reprogramme up to fifty percent (50%) of the 2020 UNAIDS country envelope funds for COVID-19 related activities, the ILO along with it partners donated assorted COVID-19 Personal Protective Equipment and Rice to Four Networks of People Living with HIV/AIDS in Monrovia, on July 15, 2020.
