    Sweden is the 28th ILO Member and the eighth member of the European Union to ratify this landmark Convention.

  2. Singapore Ratifies the Promotional Framework for Occupational Safety and Health Convention, 2006 (No. 187)

    The Government of Singapore deposited the instrument of ratification for the Promotional Framework for Occupational Safety and Health Convention, 2006 (No. 187) with the International Labour Office on 11 June 2012. Singapore is the 23rd member State to ratify the Convention.

  3. Malaysia ratifies key international labour standard on occupational safety and health

    The Government of Malaysia deposited with the International Labour Office the instrument of ratification of the Promotional Framework for Occupational Safety and Health Convention, 2006 (No. 187). Malaysia is the 22nd member State to ratify the Convention.

    The new General Survey examines for the first time the challenges and successes in implementing all eight of its fundamental labour standards on freedom of association and collective bargaining, forced and child labour and discrimination in the workplace.

  7. Togo ratifies the Maritime Labour Convention, 2006 (MLC, 2006)

    With the ratification of the MLC, 2006 by Togo, 25 ILO member States are now parties to the Convention. While the first condition for the entry into force of the Convention is already met, i.e. registered ratifications representing at least 33 per cent of the world gross tonnage of ships, the ratification of the Convention by Togo is an important step towards achieving the second condition, which is the ratification of the Convention by 30 member States.
