ILO to launch new report on the impact of the economic crisis on youth employment
The International Labour Office (ILO) is to launch a new study on youth employment trends to coincide with International Youth Day and the launch of the International Year of Youth on 12 August.
GENEVA (ILO News) - The International Labour Office (ILO) is to launch a new study on youth employment trends to coincide with International Youth Day and the launch of the International Year of Youth on 12 August.
The new report, entitled “Global Employment Trends for Youth August 2010: Special issue on the impact of the global economic crisis on youth” provides a broad assessment of global and regional employment for those aged 15 to 24, with a specific focus on how the economic crisis has affected the youth labour market.
The report will be issued by ILO offices in Geneva and around the world in print, or as a PDF file in English, under an embargo for publication and broadcast on or after 22h01 GMT on 11 August (00h01 CET 12 August). Media material including a press release and fact sheet will be available in English, French and Spanish.
