South Africa develops its social and solidarity economy

The South African government has embarked on an ambitious programme to develop the social and solidarity economy in the country, with technical support from the International Labour Organization. The social and solidarity economy comprises of entities that pursue social, economic, and environmental objectives in the collective interest of their members and users. Chief Technical Adviser, Kerryn Krige explains.
