The Committee notes the observations of the Confederation of Labour of the Russian Federation (KTR), communicated with the Government’s report, alleging the insufficient protection of workers’ representatives and that the necessary facilities are not afforded to workers’ representatives in order to enable them to carry all their functions promptly and efficiently, as well as the Government’s reply thereon. The Committee welcomes the Government’s proposal to examine this issue at the working group of the Ministry of Labour. It refers to its observation on the application of the Right to Organise and Collective Bargaining Convention, 1949 (No. 98) and requests the Government to provide information on any progress in the implementation of this Convention both in law and in practice.
