The Committee notes the Government's report and in particular the information provided in reply to its previous comments on Articles 3 and 11 of the Convention. It requests the Government to supply further information on the following points.
Article 9(1). The Committee notes that in 1997 it was planned to revise the establishment survey providing the current statistics of earnings and hours paid for and to extend its scope to construction, and also that the industrial classification is now in line with NACE, Rev.1, and ISIC, Rev.3. It notes however that the report does not contain any information on the survey of earnings in agriculture. The Committee asks the Government to send to the ILO the results of the employment and earnings survey in agriculture (Article 5), together with the relevant methodological information (Article 6) as soon as practicable.
Article 9(2). The Committee notes that statistics of wage rates and normal hours of work are not compiled and that, at present, the compilation of these statistics does not seem to be envisaged. It hopes that the Government will not fail to supply information when there is any development in this regard.
Article 10. The Committee notes that a survey of wage structure and distribution was conducted from November 1996 onwards, and asks the Government to supply information on the development of this survey.
Article 13. The Committee requests the Government to communicate the results of the 1987-88, the 1994 and the 1996 surveys to the ILO (as required under Articles 5 and 6).
Article 14. The Committee notes that up-to-date figures of occupational injuries and methodological information have been supplied to the ILO. It notes, however, that no information is provided in reply to the following points raised in the previous direct request: (i) up-to-date data with respect to fatal accidents (or persons fatally injured), the number of workdays lost from work accidents and the numbers of persons assured with the IKA (social security institution), classified by branch of economic activity; (ii) information on the compilation of statistics of occupational diseases; (iii) more precise information on the standards followed in accordance with Article 2; (iv) information on consultation with employers' and workers' representatives under Article 3. It also asks the Government to provide details regarding the publication of methodological information by the competent national body (Article 6).
Article 15. The Committee notes the information provided in respect to Articles 2 and 3 of the Convention, in reply to the previous comments. It also notes that the Government intends to send the published statistics soon on a regular basis to the ILO. The Committee requests the Government to provide details regarding the publication of methodological information by the country (Article 6).
