Allegations

Assaults, death threats and intimidation of union members in various companies and public institutions; destruction of the headquarters of the union operating in the General Property Registry; raiding, sacking and burning of documents at the headquarters of the union operating at ACRILASA; surveillance of UNSITRAGUA headquarters; anti-union dismissals, violation of the collective agreement on working conditions, refusal to bargain collectively, pressure on workers to resign from their unions; employers’ refusal to comply with judicial orders to reinstate union members; the companies and institutions concerned are: Industrial Santa Cecilia, ACRILASA, El Tumbador Municipality, Finca La Torre, Ministry of Public Health, Chevron-Texaco and the Supreme Electoral Tribunal.
