The Committee notes the Government’s report for the period 2000-03 indicating that there have been no changes since the previous report. The Confederation of Chambers of Commerce (CONCAMIN) recalls the employers’ obligation to provide education and training including scholarships. The Committee would be grateful if the Government would provide information in its next report on the manner in which the Convention is applied, including, as in the past, extracts from reports, studies and investigations, as well as updated statistics on the number of workers benefiting from paid education leave.
The Committee notes from the Government's last report that since 1980 there have been no changes which have affected the application of the Convention. It would be grateful if, in its next report, the Government would provide general information on the results achieved by the policy to promote the granting of paid educational leave, by sending, for example, extracts of reports, studies, surveys and statistics on the number of workers granted paid educational leave (Part V of the report form).
