The Committee takes note of the Government's report. With reference to the Committee's previous comments, the Government states that there is no merchant navy in the country, nor any related activity which could affect the Convention. In previous reports the Government had stated that it was making efforts to promote the national maritime industry, and that a project was under way to establish a maritime training school. In this respect, the Committee hopes that the Government will supply information on progress achieved with regard to the maritime industry, and will report, when appropriate, the steps taken to give effect to the provisions of the Convention.
