Effect given to the recommendations of the Committee and the Governing Body
  1. 63. At its November 1999 meeting, the Committee had called upon the parties to come promptly to an agreement on all the modalities concerning the granting and use of time-off facilities, and requested to be kept informed of developments [see 318th Report, paras. 272-297].
  2. 64. In its communication of 9 January 2001, the Government indicates that no deductions have been made from the salary of trade union officials in respect of the time-off taken in excess of their entitlement and that meetings are being held to sort out the issue of time-off facilities.
  3. 65. The Committee takes note of this information and requests the Government to keep it informed of the result of these discussions.
