CMNT_TITLE

Denunciation of the Convention. The Committee notes the Government’s indication that no port activities are carried out in the country, and that the possible denunciation of the Convention will be considered by the National Tripartite Commission in 2020. The Committee would like to take this opportunity to indicate that the Convention will be open to denunciation during a one-year period from 30 October 2024. The Committee requests the Government to provide information on any developments in this respect.

CMNT_TITLE

The Committee notes the brief information provided by the Government that no maritime vessels are registered in the Republic of Kyrgyzstan, that virtually no seafarers hold Kyrgyz citizenship, and that therefore this Convention cannot be applied. The Committee concludes from this information that there are no port activities in the country. The Committee hopes that the Government will report on measures taken should any matters arise in future relating to the application of the Convention.
