Article 2 of the Conventions. Income threshold for the application of the Social Security Law (Jersey). The Committee notes that, in accordance with Schedule 1A, paragraph 2(1)(a) of the Social Security Law (Jersey), this Law does not apply to persons who are defined as “inconsiderably employed” and that the lower monthly earnings limit to meet that definition was recently increased to £864 per month (as of January 2016). Recalling the limitative exceptions authorized by this provision of the Convention (inter alia, occasional employment and subsidiary employment), the Committee asks the Government to indicate how many workers are excluded from the scope of the social security legislation as “inconsiderably employed”.
