The Committee notes with regret that the Government’s report has not been received. It hopes that a report will be supplied for examination by the Committee at its next session and that it will contain full information on the matters raised in its 1997 direct request, which read as follows:
Article 4, paragraph 2, of the Convention. The Government is asked to provide information, if appropriate, on any arrangements taken or envisaged for the financing of any necessary training of participants on the procedures provided for in the Convention. Article 5. The Committee asks the Government to provide particulars of the consultations held on each of the matters set out in paragraph 1 including information on their frequency and to indicate the nature of all reports or recommendations made as a result of the consultation. Article 6. The Committee asks the Government to send a copy of any reports issued on the working of the procedures provided for in the Convention.
