Sub-Regional Workshop on Mainstreaming Occupational Safety and Health in the promotion of Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work
3 - 4 October 2023
The ILO/Japan Multi-bilateral Programme is organizing the Sub-Regional Workshop on Mainstreaming Occupational Safety and Health in the promotion of Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work. The workshop will provide opportunities for workers’ and employers’ organizations to increase knowledge on OSH and FPRW, identify challenges and opportunities to protect and promote FPRW, and develop action plans on the promotion of FPRW by mainstreaming OSH.

ILO launched a new project to promote transition to formality in Mongolia

On 27 September 2023, the International Labour Organization (ILO) launched the Formalization of the Informal Economy Project in Mongolia. The project will provide technical assistance to the tripartite constituents of Mongolia in implementing an integrated approach to formalization.

2023 Technical Meeting of Focal Points on International Labour Migration Statistics in ASEAN
25 - 26 September 2023
Collection of International Labour Migration Statistics (ILMS) data in ASEAN is done annually together with the help of a network of focal points in national institutions in all ten ASEAN Member States. This network of focal points was established in 2013 and has since met nearly annually. The “2023 Technical Meeting of Focal Points on ILMS in ASEAN” will be the ninth such convening. The meeting will take place convened on 25 and 26 September 2023 as an online meeting, with Thailand-based participants joining in-person in Bangkok.

Grand Finale – SPARK Youth Entrepreneurship Competition 2023

SPARK is a nationwide competition designed for Sri Lanka's upcoming generation of entrepreneurs. It invites young innovators to present their ideas and solutions addressing the most urgent challenges of our era. Having received hundreds of applications, the competition used a comprehensive shortlisting procedure, involving virtual training, in-person boot camps, and mentoring sessions. The Grand Finale will hear the final five contestants who have successfully navigated this process.
